October 13th is the First Pretzel Palooza of the year! The SLA will start coming around tomorrow to collect orders. They will come around every morning until Tuesday, October 10th. Please see the attached flyer for price and options.

The September 27th Board agenda is now featured on Board Docs. The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm in the gym at the Greenwich Elementary School. Just a reminder you can access Board Docs from our website (blue banner on home screen) or through our app (hit the menu button and you will see it on the right).
I just wanted to thank all the SLA candidates who gave a speech today! They were fantastic and the audience was as well! Although only 15 can make the SLA, they are all winners to me!
On Friday, SMS held our pep rally to start the year. Kids learned about all the different clubs we have to offer this year, and we had a great race to bring in the new school year!
The PTO is looking for room parents across all grade levels. Please consider helping and sign up to be a room parent. The form is due by September 22nd. Forms can be found on the Genesis Parent Portal under the documents tab.

5th graders celebrating Patriot's Day during Social Studies time
GES celebrates Patriot's Day by Wearing Red, White and Blue! We started our day with the playing of our National Anthem and classes talked about heros in our community.
Today, the students of SMS learned about 9-11 in their classes. We wore Red, White, and Blue and held a moment of silence so that we always remember those that lost their lives on that day. We also celebrate the heroes of 9-11, like the police, fire fighters, EMS, and other first responders that inspire us each and every day!
