Special Services

The Greenwich Township School District offers an array of special education programs and services designed to meet the educational and social/emotional needs of our students. Many of our students are educated in general education classrooms with supports and services provided by special education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals. Click here for a description of occupational and physical therapy in the school setting. We also offer self-contained programs for children who require a structured, small group environment and out-of-district placements for students who require a highly specialized program.

Our child study team is comprised of a school psychologist, school social worker, and a learning disabilities teacher-consultant. When considering the needs of a preschool aged child or a child who is communication impaired the child study team expands to include a speech language specialist. This multi-disciplinary team assesses the educational impact of a student’s learning, behavioral, social/emotional, and communication functioning.
