To ensure that we are all prepared In the event that school is closed early, please note the following:

  1. Parents need to be aware of the weather conditions and the possibility of storms developing during the day. In situations where such weather is anticipated, parents need to be watching for announcements from the school that the students will be dismissed early.

  2. In the event that the school needs to close early, the school will notify parents through the same lines of communication that are used to announce a delayed opening.

  3. With many parents working out of the area it is essential that each family have a plan for who will be meeting your child and where he/she is to go. If you are not going to be home, please make arrangements with a neighbor or relative to assist in your absence. It is important that you review the plan with your child so that he/she knows what to do and where to go.

  4. Please note that the Child Care program will not be in operation in the case of early school closing. Children who attend the Child Care Program will have to have an alternate plan in place.
